Enjoy a lively performance spotlighting the music of Bach, Castello, Telemann, and more.
The concert begins with seventeenth-century Italian and German chamber music in the (then!) new Italian style, which theorists at the time identified as the “stylus fantasticus.” Closing out the program are eighteenth-century orchestral works by Bach and Telemann that show the influence of the earlier “fantastic” style.
