The Colburn Contemporary Ensemble presents an exploration of color, texture, and atmosphere. Schuller’s haunting, dramatic Phantasmata for violin and marimba; Harrison’s Concerto for violin and gamelan-inspired percussion ensemble; and Bartók’s tour de force, Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion, are performed in the intimate environment of Olive Rehearsal Hall.

The first national Fortissima residential intensive at the Colburn School closes with a program featuring works by female and BIPOC composers including Jesse Montgomery, Florence Price, Chevalier de St. George, and more.
