Leading guest artists from San Francisco Ballet (SFB) collaborate with the Colburn Conservatory in a performance and discussion illuminating the creative process. The centerpiece of the program is the duet from Benjamin Millepied’s Appassionata, which is set to a Beethoven piece of the same name. Following a performance of the work, faculty member and dance historian Jill Nunes Jenson will moderate a conversation with the dancers and pianist about the choreography and music, the process of preparing the piece, and the experience of working and performing together.
