On Sunday, February 22, 2026, the LACC community will gather at Zipper Hall to celebrate four decades of music and the thousands of young people whose lives have been shaped by LACC. The evening includes: a powerful anniversary concert in Zipper Hall featuring choristers and alumni, a celebratory sponsor dinner at Vespaio, and an exciting live and silent auction.

An evening of deep lyricism and virtuosity awaits. Yi-Bing Chu & Friends: Cello Recital brings together one of the most influential cellists of his generation with fellow musicians for a program spanning intimacy, drama, and expressive depth. From the clarity of Bach to the warmth and passion of Romantic and 20th-century repertoire, the cello takes center stage as both storyteller and singer.

Tesserae Baroque presents the Los Angeles premiere of Meera Kahe, a new cantata by Reena Esmail, featuring baroque violin, baroque flute, baroque cello, harpsichord, tabla, and Hindustani vocalist Saili Oak. Last season, the Eaton Fire made it impossible for us to prepare the full work, but now we’re back and ready to share Meera Kahe in its entirety!

The 30th International Liana & Ruben Cohen Music Competition was set up in memoriam of Colburn alumna Liana and her brother Ruben Cohen, piano and violin. The Cohen family’s purpose for the competition and concert is to encourage youth to study classical music. In honor of Liana’s birthday, the competition winners will perform and receive awards in this concert in Zipper Hall.

Distinguished guest conductor Dinis Sousa leads a program of brilliance and transformation, marking Huang Ruo’s LACO debut with The Tipping Point, a powerful reflection on the beauty and fragility of nature. The extraordinary Isabelle Faust, one of the world’s most celebrated violinists, brings rare artistry to Schumann’s deeply moving Violin Concerto, a monumental highlight for LACO. The evening closes with Mendelssohn’s radiant Symphony No. 4, the “Italian”—a triumphant finale to an unmissable event.

Acclaimed for her luminous tone and expressive insight, Anne Akiko Meyers brings extraordinary depth to the West Coast premiere of Eric Whitacre’s THE PACIFIC HAS NO MEMORY, a meditation on resilience in the wake of the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires. She also soars in Vaughan Williams’s beloved The Lark Ascending, a timeless ode to lyricism and light. Music Director Jaime Martín unveils Juhi Bansal’s celebratory new work for Sound Investment’s 25th anniversary, followed by the searing intensity of Shostakovich’s Chamber Symphony and the sparkling brilliance of Prokofiev’s “Classical” Symphony. A program of passion, poetry, power, and unforgettable resonance.

This program lives in the glow of Classical clarity and modern invention. Music Director Jaime Martín leads LACO through Mozart’s luminous Haffner Symphony, whose pristine structures and joyful grace epitomize Classical brilliance. The concert also features the world premiere of Christopher Cerrone’s new Double Concerto, a boldly inventive work performed by violinist Anthony Marwood and cellist Coleman Itzkoff, offering a fresh voice in contemporary concerto writing. Finally, Tchaikovsky’s enchanting Mozartiana transforms Mozart’s style through romantic, late-19th-century colors—melding reverence with imaginative reinterpretation. A radiant celebration bridging tradition and innovation.

Fresh from their acclaimed performance last season, Les Talens Lyrique is back with Handelian Heroes, a cornucopia of musical delights starring countertenor Key'mon Murrah in his first LAO appearance since The Last Dream of Frida and Diego in 2023. Conductor/founder Christophe Rousset leads the acclaimed Paris-based chamber ensemble, known worldwide for their performances of celebrated Baroque masterpieces as well as rediscovered musical treasures.
