M.A. degree in composition from California State University, Los Angeles; Served as Opera Workshop coach at Cal State, L.A.; Founded his own Contemporary Opera Theatre Workshop.

In addition to teaching at the Colburn School, Lisa Gillespie is an adjunct professor of dance at Loyola Marymount University and a frequent instructor at the Santa Clarita Ballet Academy.

Pianist John Gilmour is active as a chamber musician, collaborative pianist, and educator. For five years, he served on the accompanying staff at Scripps College, where he regularly performed alongside music faculty, coached vocal students, and accompanied the choirs.
