Cello Faculty
She is a founding member of the Marina Ensemble and is the cello coordinator of the Suzuki String Program at the Colburn Community School of Performing Arts. Ms. Yamagata was formerly the director of the Chamber Music Workshop at the Los Angeles Suzuki Institute and has served on the Board of the Suzuki Music Association of California.
Clarinet Faculty
At 17, Michael made his solo debut performing the Mozart Clarinet Concerto with the Honolulu Symphony as a winner of their Young Artists Concerto Competition.
Double Bass Faculty
A former member of the Rochester Philharmonic, Dallas Symphony, and Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, David is currently principal bass with the LA Opera Orchestra and Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra.
Guitar Faculty
Erin has a passion for playing early plucked instruments and has performed with the early music ensemble, Ciaramella, and plays frequently with the Los Angeles based Delirium Musicum ensemble.

Kenton Youngstrom, guitarist, composer, and educator is the first in a long line of prize-winning students of Jim Smith at the University of Southern California, where, while earning his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees, he studied composition with Donald Crockett, arranging with Darniell Pershing, and film scoring with David Raksin.

Piano Faculty
Acclaimed Canadian pianist Micah Yui has appeared with orchestras, in recital, and as a chamber musician on three continents. She has performed for dignitaries of Japan and Canada and has been awarded three Canada Council Grants, the Edmonton Civic Award, and the Alberta Achievement Award.
