Hear original works from innovative 20th and 21st-century composers in this performance highlighting contemporary music. The program includes Stravinsky’s rhythmic The Rite of Spring, arranged for marimba and piano; a Bartok sonata exploring the piano’s roots as a percussion instrument; and a soulful piece by Shelley Washington for piano, percussion, and bass.
