Ms. Kim is active as a chamber musician and accompanist in the Los Angeles Area. She is a founder and pianist for Sharon Trio and Iris Chamber group.
Ms. Miji Kim has been a piano faculty member at the Colburn Community School of Performing Arts since 2003. She received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Piano Performance from California State University, Northridge under Professor Francoise Regnat, graduating magna cum laude. While completing her study, she was a recipient of numerous scholarships and recognitions including a winner of Edith Knox Concerto Competition (2000), Jakob & Bronislaw Gimpel Memorial Endowments, and National Dean’s List. Her teachers include Delores Stevens, Charles Fierro and Hyo-Suk Park.
Ms. Kim is active as a chamber musician and accompanist in the Los Angeles Area. She is a founder and pianist for Sharon Trio and Iris Chamber group. She was previously an accompanist for Korean Christian Choir, KYCC, and Los Angeles Concert Choir. She is currently, serving as pianist of Oriental Mission Church.
Her students are frequently listed as winners of various competitions and festivals including Music Teacher’s Association of California, Southwestern Youth Music Festival, and Southern California Junior Bach Festival. She is a workshop leader and adjudicator for competitions. And is a member of Music Teacher’s Association of California, Southwestern Youth Music Festival, and Music Teacher’s National Association.
