Colburn’s Dance Academy students perform diverse works from the ballet repertory as the culmination of the year.
The program features ballets set to the music of Igor Stravinsky, choreographed by George Balanchine and Justin Peck. Both Balanchine and Peck’s movements reflect the dynamism and clarity of the Stravinsky’s scores.
The performance concludes with excerpts from Jerome Robbins’ The Goldberg Variations, set to the iconic score by J.S. Bach. Robbins made the work for New York City Ballet in 1971, and Colburn’s Dance Academy is the first student ensemble to perform the ballet.
Proof of vaccination is required for all attendees. See the full list of safety protocols for more information.
