Chamber Music Faculty
A firm believer in the power of music, Sheng-Ching created “S-C Sidewalk Performance” where she brought live music to the street corners of West LA during the pandemic. “S-C Sidewalk Performance” brought comfort and hope to many people during the time of isolation, and was featured on KTTV Fox 11 Los Angeles.
Piano Faculty
A native of Los Angeles, Dr. Grace Huang completed her Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Southern California with James Bonn and Bernadene Blaha.
Piano Faculty
A member of the California and National Music Teacher Associations, Ms. Hudson is a sought-after teacher, jurying competitions and having conducted lessons and master classes in music schools throughout Los Angeles and her private piano studio, Hudson Conservatory.
Piano, Dalcroze Eurhythmics
Ms. Izumi was a member of the piano faculty at Seika Women’s Junior College in Japan, the Preparatory Division at Kunitachi College of Music. She was a piano accompanist at Santa Monica College and the University of California, Los Angeles.
Director of Colburn Youth Wind Ensemble
Emma Johnson is a conductor, musician, and educator born and raised in Houston, Texas. Ms. Johnson is currently an instrumental music teacher at Woodbridge High School and the Wind Ensemble Director at the Colburn Community School.
Voice Faculty
John is the recipient of many awards and holds a doctorate in vocal arts from the University of Southern California where he was honored as the outstanding DMA Vocal Arts Graduate of the Year. Dr. Johnson is an alumnus of OperaWorks and has sung with the organization in many special events. At the National Classical Singer Convention, he collaborated with OperaWorks’ founder and director, Ann Baltz, in presenting an “operavisation” workshop.
