Tatjana Masurenko’s major objective in her musical career has been the further development of the viola as a solo instrument which also explains her commitment to contemporary music.

Principal Flute of the Seattle Symphony, Mr. McGill is a celebrated soloist, chamber musician, and dedicated educator, and has held numerous other principal positions and teaching posts. He serves on Colburn’s Conservatory and Music Academy faculty for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 school year.

Jordan Nelson (he/him) is a composer and educator based in Southern California. Jordan's musical projects are often driven by collaboration, and his output ranges from abstract concert works to ambient electronic music.
Humanities Faculty
Sean Pessin has lived in Los Angeles his whole life. He earned a B.A. and M.A. in English from California State University, Northridge, and an M.F.A. from Otis College of Art and Design.

Ian Pritchard, harpsichordist, organist, and musicologist, is a specialist in early music and historical keyboard practices.
