Faculty Recordings

The artists who teach at Colburn bring a wealth of performing experience into the classroom, and many of them are accomplished recording artists as well. Their albums span a wide range of repertoire, from solo recitals to chamber music and orchestral works, and offer a chance to hear the same artistry our students learn from every day. Explore recordings from Colburn faculty below, available wherever you listen to music.

Glassopedia: Etudes for Piano, Book I
Philip Glass, Composer
Hui Wei, Piano

Glassopedia: Etudes for Piano, Book I is the first installment in pianist Hui Wu’s ambitious project to record the entirety of Glass’s solo piano repertoire. In this deep-dive into minimalism, Wu unlocks the structured beauty of Glass’s repetitive patterns and draws out a sparkling lyricism from the relentless, rhythmic pulses. Showcasing dazzling technical ability, Wu highlights the power of Glass’s form, proving that discipline and repetition carve a path towards timeless art.
