Summer Classes will open for registration in Spring 2026.
Summer Dance Class Offerings
Existing students can join us for four Saturdays beginning June 20 to keep up their training over the summer, and new students are welcome to register for this four-week program to try out classes before registering for the fall semester. Classes will include Creative Dance, Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop for all age groups.
Dates: Monday, June 15 through Sunday, August 2 (no classes June 29–July 5)
Adult classes will be available in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, and Hip Hop. Further details and class registration will be available in Spring 2026.

Creative Dramatics
Ages 5–7
In this class, imagination is key. Young students engage in creative thinking through movement, theater games, and improvisations. Students dramatize stories and poems as well as come up with original stories. The Creative Dramatics class is recommended as preparation for Drama I.
Drama I/II
Ages 8–15
This summer class advances students’ understanding of drama through movement, theater games, and improvisations, all key to scene development. Students continue to develop their creative potential as they learn about different dramatic literature. Drama I/II builds on improvisation, scene work, and basic acting skills, but supplemented with voice use and body movement.

Enjoy learning new repertoire from around the world and through the centuries specially curated for guitar trios, quartets and quintets!
Adult Jazz Workshop
Ages 18 and up
Colburn’s Adult Jazz Workshops consist of musicians who are proficient on their instruments and experienced in jazz studies. Various styles of jazz repertoire are explored and learned aurally along with discussion of theory and approaches to improvisation. This ensemble is a great opportunity to grow individually and as a cohesive unit in an encouraging, challenging environment. All instruments, including strings and vocalists, are welcome.
Summer Music Theory Intensives cover a year’s curriculum over the course of 4 weeks. The classes meet for 1.5 hours each day, 4 days per week, with about an hour of homework every day. These intensives allow students to efficiently review past material or get ahead for the following year.
