Delos And Colburn School Launch New Recording Partnership

Outhere Music is thrilled to announce that its U.S. flagship label Delos and the prestigious Colburn School of Los Angeles are launching a new partnership that will serve as a springboard for future generations of young musicians.

Delos will be the exclusive label for the Colburn Conservatory of Music and Music Academy.

(June 29, 2026, Los Angeles) – Outhere Music today announced a new partnership between its U.S. flagship label, Delos, and the Colburn School, establishing Delos as the exclusive recording label for the Colburn Conservatory of Music and Music Academy. This partnership creates a powerful platform for showcasing the future of classical music.

The Colburn School nurtures a new generation of outstanding young artists and the labels of the Outhere Music present young musicians to a worldwide audience, creating  natural alignment. Since Outhere Music acquired the historic and prestigious American label Delos, it was keen to develop a roster of young talent with the aim of supporting their careers. Its collaboration with Colburn reflects a shared commitment to advancing the next generation of artists. Colburn will exclusively provide recordings of their most promising talents from its Conservatory of Music and Music Academy as part of the “Colburn Collection” series, and Outhere Music will disseminate the albums in both physical and digital formats. The aim is to release two to three projects per year, starting in September 2026. Forthcoming releases are listed below.

“I’m delighted to start this collaboration with Colburn. One of our missions is to support young talents, and there is no better partner to identify and nurture them than Colburn. Moreover, our work is based on shared values and deep respect. In a few years, we’ll look back with pride as our young artists gain international acclaim!”

Charles Adriaenssen, Founder and President of Outhere Music

“Launching this partnership with Delos brings the exceptional talent of Colburn’s young artists to audiences worldwide. Professional recordings play a vital role in bridging the gap between rigorous training and a sustainable, fulfilling career, while allowing artists to share their deep love for music and their craft. Like Delos, Colburn has a deep commitment to developing the careers of young artists, and we are proud to be associated with the label’s prestigious legacy and exceptional catalogue.”

Sel Kardan, President and CEO, Colburn School

On Monday, November 23, at 7 p.m., the artists featured on the first four releases in the “Colburn Collection” series will come together in Colburn’s Thayer Hall in Los Angeles for a special concert celebrating the new partnership. • The Music Academy is a highly selective training program for gifted young pre-collegiate musicians, designed to prepare students for conservatory study and performing careers at the highest levels of achievement. This residential program balances performance, musical instruction, and academics.
  • The Community School of Performing Arts welcomes students of all ages, from seven months old to adults. It offers more than 120 classes each year in orchestral instruments, piano, guitar, voice, jazz, music theory, drama, and ensembles including orchestra, choir, and chamber music.
  • The Trudl Zipper Dance Institute develops performers of all levels, from aspiring professionals in the Dance Academy to beginners starting in Youth Dance. Students of all levels receive training in ballet, tap, and modern genres as part of a comprehensive dance education.

In 2024, the Colburn School broke ground on a transformational campus expansion designed by Frank Gehry. Located across the street from the School’s existing campus at the intersection of Olive and Second Streets, the building will enable the School to expand its mission of presenting programs for the public. Gehry’s design includes a 1,000-seat in-the-round concert hall named for Terri and Jerry Kohl, five professional-sized dance studios including a 100-seat studio theater, and gardens that bring fresh air and green spaces to the downtown landscape. The expansion will more than double the facilities for the School’s Trudl Zipper Dance Institute, creating one of the most comprehensive dance education complexes in Southern California.
