Colburn Parking Policies for Students and Families

The Colburn School currently provides a limited number of on-campus parking spots without charge as an amenity for our students and families. However, with a student population of 1,700, parking is not guaranteed. Spaces in the garage on Grand Avenue/Lot 1 are available on a first-come, first-served basis each day. The garage will often fill up, particularly on Wednesdays and Saturdays which are our busiest days of classes. When the garage is full, students and families should park in a nearby paid lot.

What You Should Do  

  • Arrive early and leave plenty of time to find parking before your lesson, class, or rehearsal.  
  • Be kind to our security team. On-campus parking is in high demand and our security team does everything they can to help our students and families, but they are not always able to provide parking. Your patience and understanding are requested and appreciated.  
  • When you see the LOT FULL sign outside the Grand Avenue garage, please proceed to a nearby paid parking lot. Some of the closest lots are below. Another excellent resource is SpotHero, which shows real-time availability and pricing for nearby garages. 

2nd and Olive Parking 
$4 all day for students with validation; available for purchase (cash only) at the CSPA registration office
Enter on 2nd Street between Olive and Hill, across the street from the Athena lot.
Please note: Beginning in January or February, the parking lot at 2nd Street and Olive Street will close for an extended period to allow for the extension of utilities from our existing campus to the new building site.

Walt Disney Concert Hall Garage
$10 weeknights after 4:30 pm, weekends all day
Standard rates: $3.50 per 15 minutes, $20 maximum

$10 all day

Broad Museum Garage 
$17 weeknights after 5 pm, weekends all-day
Standard rates: $5 per 15 minutes, $27 maximum

$5.50 per 15 minutes, $30 maximum

  • Consider public transportation. Colburn can be reached by multiple Metro lines within two blocks of campus. More than 30 bus lines also stop close to campus. Use the LA Metro Trip Planner for routes and schedules.
