HAYDN String Quartet in D Major, Op. 76, No. 5 SCHUBERT String Quartet No. 13 (“Rosamunde”)
Music Academy students show off their talents in this intimate recital series featuring a delightful mix of repertoire. This performance will be livestreamed.
Our first Chamber Series concert of the 2025/26 Season brings everything audiences love about LACO to life: extraordinary artistry, emotional depth, and the thrill of hearing world-class musicians up close. It’s remarkably rare to experience both of Brahms’ radiant sextets on a single program. Together, they trace the composer’s own evolution—his growth, vulnerability, and transformation captured in sound. Sextet No. 1, written in his late twenties, shimmers with youthful optimism and daring invention, while Sextet No. 2 unveils a more introspective voice, rich with emotion and self-discovery.
