Hosted by The Colburn School and USC Thornton School of Music, the Los Angeles Music & Dance College Fair provides an exciting opportunity for prospective undergraduate and graduate students to meet representatives from leading music and dance colleges, conservatories and universities from across the country. Students will have a chance to connect with college representatives, learn more about admission and audition requirements, ask questions, and explore opportunities for next steps in higher education.
College Applications 101 for Musicians
As part of the fair, we’re offering a special session open to juniors and seniors. This session will be led by Judy Zhu, Assistant Director of Admissions and Recruitment for the Colburn Conservatory & Music Academy, and Brittany Jimenez, Associate Director of Undergraduate Admission for the USC Thornton School of Music, from 10:15-10:45 am in Mayman Hall.
Dance Dialogues: Beyond the Audition
Auditions and applications can feel make-or-break. But what if they didn’t have to? Join Dance faculty Katherine Cowgill and guests from the worlds of classical music and dance for a conversation about reframing pressure, understanding what panels are really looking for, and approaching the process with clarity and confidence. The session will happen at 12:30 pm in Olive 270.
Attendance is free. Advanced registration is strongly recommended.
