Cellist Maxwell Prado credits the Colburn Community School of Performing Arts with providing him the breadth of knowledge and understanding necessary to elevate his musicianship and earn a spotlight on one of the most prestigious venues for artists of any age.

Once again, the Colburn School looks forward to participating in the annual Grand Ave Arts: All Access event. Take a look at what’s in store for this year’s all-day extravaganza featuring the thriving arts neighborhood along Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles.

This month, many of the Community School of Performing Arts’s faculty-artists step out of the studio and onto the stage to showcase their skills as performers. It’s an opportunity for audiences to enjoy their superb artistry and for students to see them under a different spotlight.

As the new season at Colburn gets underway, our calendar is full of student, faculty, and guest artist performances. What’s more, this fall highlights several unique opportunities, from the Art of Song Festival to album releases to sensory-friendly performances.

From intimate settings where enthusiastic expressions are celebrated to breakout spaces for those who wish to step away momentarily, Opening Notes invites all to enjoy live performances in a welcoming and safe environment.
